Making Salted Shrimp [ saeujeot ]
Ingredient

When making Salted Shrimp, it is usually made with shrimp caught between May and June and September and October.
When making Salted Shrimp, you only need to remember the amount of salt.
The amount of salt is 30% of shrimp.
- Add salt to the water and wash the shrimp while gently stirring.
- Drain all washed shrimp.
- Put the washed shrimp in a large bowl and mix about 20% salt with the amount of shrimp.
- Put all the mixed shrimp in a container with a lid and cover with 5% salt on top.
- Put about 1 liter of water in a pot, add the remaining 5% of salt and bring to a boil.
- Cool the boiled brine completely.
- Pour the cooled brine into the container containing the shrimp.
- Pour the salt so that it rises about 3 cm above the salt covering the shrimp.
- Close the lid, seal it completely, and put it in the refrigerator to mature.
- You can consume it after aging for 10 days.
